San Luis Obispo, CA- In the first interleague meeting between the Southern California Catch and the San Luis Obispo Blues, the Catch were held to only two hits by the Blues' untouchable pitching staff. Although they opened the three-game series the night before, this is the first of two games that count towards each team's conference record and with their 0-5 loss, the Catch drop to 12-14.

Although starting pitcher Jake Lochner (Missouri State University) kept his team within two runs of the Blues, the Catch were unable to chip away at San Luis Obispo's lead. Lochner finished the night, pitching five innings and allowing four hits and two runs. Third baseman Josh Barrick (Liberty University) hit a single in the fifth inning and first baseman Jimmy Gallarda (Biola University) ran out an infield single for the only two hits for Southern California in the game.

With a chance to win the series and split the interleague games, the Catch wrap up their San Luis Obispo trip on Sunday, July 18 at 1 p.m.
