La Mirada, CA – The So Cal Catch are thrilled to announce the signing of three new players for this upcoming summer. Catchers Jimmy Jeffries, Kyle Soria, and Tyler Fisher look to anchor the backstop for the Catch.

Jimmy Jeffries, a 6’2”,198-pound catcher from Mokena, Illinois is in his freshman season at University of Alabama Birmingham. Jeffries has seen action in 6 games so far this year and is currently hitting.333 while adding solid catching depth for the Blazers. Jim hopes to bring a long history of winning to the Catch as he was a three-time state champion in high school.

Kyle Soria, a California native, will head to La Mirada to be a part of the Catch following his sophomoreyear at Westmont University.  Soria, the 6’0”,190-pound catcher has appeared in 11 games for the Warriors and is hitting a solid .308 while adding 7 runs batted in. Kyle looks to become a strong contributor on and off the field for the Catch this upcoming summer

Tyler Fisher is a freshman at Olivet University from Limestone, Illinois. Fisher, a 6’1”, 205-pound catcher will look to bring some versatility to the Catch as he has played primarily first base and designated hitter this season for the Tigers. So far this season, Tyler has solidified a solid role as a freshman compiling 11 hits and starting in 18 games. Along with versatility, Fisher hopes to add a solid bat to the Catch this summer.
