Compton, CA-Receiving one of the highest honors a player in the California Collegiate League can receive, right-handed pitcher Jimmy Gallarda (Biola University), infielders Josh Rojas (University of Hawaii), Austin Bull (Grand Canyon University) and Ethan Lopez (University of Hawaii) contributed to the South Division’s 10-9 victory over the North Division in the CCL All Star Game. Unfortunately, Lopez’s finger injury prevented him from competed in the All Star Games, but the other three were about to show off their skills over Fox Sports West.

Taking the mound for the top of the seventh, Gallarda pitched a three-up-three-down inning with one strikeout and maintained the South Division’s 8-4 lead over the North Division.

Rojas continued his All Star Game success he started last year when he went 3-3 with a home run and finished the summer in the Cape Cod League. Not only did Rojas play six innings at second base, he also ended the night 2-2 with one run and is 5-5 through his last two All Star appearances.

Coming in to relieve Rojas in the sixth inning, Bull finished the last three innings at second base. Although he went 0-2 at the dish and was thrown out at first after the call on the field was upheld, Bull made a number of key defensive plays.
